Angel Barrette

Angel is a 1994 graduate of Millikin University, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. While still in college, she spent a summer in Nashville performing at Opryland, and after graduation enjoyed working with the summer repertory theatre at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. She spent several years working in the Chicago theatre scene performing in many productions, such as West Side Story, Do Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up? at Drury Lane Theatre in Evergreen Park, and a musical play at The Goodman Theatre called Play On! based on Shakespeare's Twelfth Night with the music of Duke Ellington and choreography by his grandaughter, Mercedes Ellington. Apart from all the work in secular theatre, Angel has also spent many years in music ministry, singing here in the states as well as abroad at international ministry conferences in locations like South Africa, Australia, and Germany.
