Founding artistic director, Robert Bowker, is a well-known singer, conductor, composer, arranger and producer with an unusually eclectic background. As a conductor he brings the unique perspective of one who has performed professionally as a classical soloist and choral singer including thirteen performances at Carnegie Hall workshops under Robert Shaw, as well as thirty years experience in recording studios in Chicago performing, contracting, and conducting singers in every vocal style imaginable for commercials, recordings and film. Along with Dr. Ron Combs, he is co-author of Learning to Sing Non-Classical Music, published by Prentice Hall. Three of his choral compositions have been recently published by Boosey and Hawkes, while 26 original art songs for voice and piano along with numerous choral and vocal jazz arrangements are available through his website. www.robertbowker.com.
